🏈 HHS' McGuire, Meyers, Crough, Keeley honored by the KFCA

Hays High's Ian McGuire and Dalton Meyers have been named to the Kansas Football Coaches Association 5A All-State football team and Tony Crough has been named 5A Coach of the Year.

McGuire played five positions on offense this past season and is listed as an athlete on the All-State team. He rushed for 890 yards on 163 carries with eight touchdowns. McGuire had five receptions for 271 yards and a touchdown. He moved to quarterback in the 5A sub-state and state title games and passed completed 6-of-14 passes for 81 yards, two touchdowns an one interception.

Meyers had 79 tackles and four sacks from his linebacker position along with 10 tackles for loss, three interceptions, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

Crough adds the KFCA Coach of the Year honor to his Sports in Kansas 5A Coach of the Year honor he received over the weekend.

HHS defensive coordinator Kip Keeley was named 5A Assistant Coach of the Year.

Note: To be considered for the KFCA all-state team, a school's coach must be a member of the KFCA and a senior.
