
Phillipsburg resident, Daniels “Dan” Lee Heinze Sr. went to be with the Lord on November 26, 2025, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska, at the age of 86.
Daniels Lee Heinze Sr. was born on January 20, 1939, in Lucas, Kansas, to his parents Edwin Leo Heinze and Wilmadean D. (Daniels) Brockman.
Dan was a long-time Phillipsburg resident, working as an insurance and real estate agent.
Dan is preceded in death by his father, Edwin L. Heinze; his mother, Wilmadean D. Brockman; his brother, Edwin L. Heinze Jr.; and his sisters, Sonja A. (Heinze) Schultz and Linda L. (Heinze) Thorn.
Survivors include his wife Brenda S. Heinze of Phillipsburg, Kansas, children Kenda S. (Heinze) Elliott-Seyer and husband Carl of Rowlett, Texas, Kelly K. (Heinze) Vanderplas and husband Jeff of Phillipsburg,
Kansas, Sherri L. (Heinze) Conrad and husband Curtis of Cheney, Kansas, Daniels L. Heinze, Jr. and wife Mona of Newton, Kansas, Kelle L. Chance of Phillipsburg, Kansas, and Kathryn A. (Heinze) Selva-Wuensch and husband Guillermo of Lynden, Washington, sister Peggy S. (Heinze) Stull and husband Lary of Hays, Kansas, as well as 17 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at the First Assembly of God in Phillipsburg, Kansas, with Pastor Art Walker officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Phillipsburg, Kansas.
Dan will lie in state on Saturday, December 6, and Sunday, December 7, from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel in Phillipsburg, Kansas. The family will receive friends and relatives for visitation on the evening of Sunday, December 7, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel.
