Jane Ann Komarek, 80, passed away March 25, 2024, in Azle, Texas. Jane was born December 1, 1943, in Great Bend, Kan. to Leo and Hilda (Heinz) Kowalsky.
Jane, a long-time resident of Great Bend, recently living in Azle, Plano, and Keller, Texas, was a member of the Roman Catholic faith, and enjoyed gardening, any outdoor activity, and playing Bingo. Above all, Jane enjoyed time with family, never missing her children's activities. While residing in Great Bend, Jane co-owned and operated Komarek's Auto Trim and Upholstery, and more recently worked for Walmart as a greeter and in the garden center.
Survivors include one son, Dale Komarek and wife Alicia of Haslet, Texas; two daughters, Tammy Komarek of Great Bend and Karen Niosi and husband Tony of Loudon, Tenn.; one sister, Glenda Heinz and husband Mark of Ellinwood; and two brothers Alan Kowalsky of Ellinwood, and Kenny Kowalsky and wife Deb of Ellinwood; six grandchildren, Sam McGinnis and wife Ashley, Avery Komarek, Andrew Komarek, Katherine Komarek, Olivia Komarek and Gabby Niosi; and one great-grandchild, Mac McGinnis. She was preceded in passing by one brother, Terry Kowalsky.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2024, at St. Rose Of Lima Catholic Church, Great Bend, with Father Prakash Kola. Inurnment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend. Memorials may be given to Dominican Sisters of Peace, in care of Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd, Great Bend, KS 67530.
