Cathy Lynn Frazier, 69, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, in Bismarck, North Dakota, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on March 4, 1955, in Russell, Kansas, to Herbert and Frances (Fischer) Kraft. Cathy grew up there and graduated from Russell High School with the Class of 1973. Though she remained deeply connected to her hometown, she spent much of her adult life in Salina, Kansas, where she made many close friends and raised her family. She built a career as a licensed insurance agent until retiring in 2007.

Cathy had a lifelong love for horses, a passion that began during her childhood on the family farm, where she always felt most at home. She had a deep appreciation for nature and animals of all kinds, which recently led her to travel to the ocean to witness the majesty of whales. Among the animals she cherished most was her devoted dog, Snickers, whom she lovingly referred to as her "heart dog." She also enjoyed discussing politics, spending time with friends, and, most of all, being with her family, especially her three beloved grandchildren.

Cathy is survived by her daughters, Ashley Frazier of Cheney, Kansas, Heather Kopp and husband David of Bismarck, North Dakota; her brother, Terrance Kraft and wife Marcia of Lincoln, Kansas; her sister, Cindy Brownback and husband Terrence of Emporia, Kansas; her brother, Daniel Kraft and wife Tracy of Russell, Kansas; and her grandchildren, Kanton Kopp, Bennett Kopp, and Raegan Guetschow.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service to celebrate Cathy’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary in Russell, Kansas. The family will greet guests on the day of the service. Cards and condolences may be sent to Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, which is overseeing the funeral arrangements.
