After a brief and valiant fight with cancer, Toohey Joe "TJ" Allaman of Lakin, KS passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife, children and brother.
The son of Mickey Allaman and Dixie (Hobson) Myers, TJ was born June 21, 1962, in Oakley, KS and died at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS on March 26, 2023, at the age of 60.
He spent his earliest years growing up in Goodland, KS graduating from Goodland High School in 1980. Some of his most precious memories were at his grandparents in Wallace, KS. TJ enjoyed life, especially in the outdoors. Hunting and fishing were two of his favorite things. Passing these loves and stories on to his son and grandsons brought much happiness.
He married Toni Marie Cochrane on January 8, 1983, in Goodland, KS and proceeded with their family welcoming daughter, Lacey and son, Cole.

Survivors include wife Toni of Lakin, KS daughter Lacey (Ty) Brookover of Garden City, KS son Cole (Tish) Allaman of Lakin, KS; 5 wonderful grandsons Max, Miles and Forest Brookover and Paxton and Tipton Allaman and step grandson Lawson Weilert-Beymer, brother Mike (Robin) Allaman of Lakin, KS, sisters, Michelle (Paul) Simoneau of Goodland, KS and Natalie Allaman of Quincy, Michigan. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
A Celebration of TJ's life will be April 15, 2023, at 11:00 AM CT Kearny County Fairgrounds in Lakin. There are no calling hours. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date at Fort Wallace Cemetery, Wallace, KS.
