Hays received 1.45 inches of rain overnight, according to the K-State Ag Research Center.
Rainfall measured at the Eagle Radio station at 2300 Hall was 1.25 inches.

The southern portion of Ellis County still remains in exceptional drought, according to the Kansas Drought Monitor.
Hays has received 14.49 inches of rain year to date compared to an average of 17.57 inches by the end of August.
Hays averages 2.97 inches of rain in August.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 10 tonight.
There's a 50 percent chance for thunderstorms Saturday night. There's a 20 to 30 percent chance of rain Monday, Monday night and Tuesday.
The cold front brings a break in the heat wave. The high is forecast for 91 today and 93 Saturday. Temps are forecast to dip into the 80s Sunday through Tuesday.
