Hays set a record high of 98 on Sunday, breaking the old record 95 set in 1904, 1938, 1971 and 2013.
The high for today is forecast 93. The record high is 99 set in 1911.
The National Weather Service forecasts a high of 90 on Tuesday before a cold front is set to come in.
The high is set to drop into the low 80s on Wednesday and then into the upper 60s Thursday and Friday.
There's a chance of showers Tuesday night through Sunday.
