Ellis County Farm Bureau Association

In the hopes of transforming students' understanding of agriculture, the Ellis County Farm Bureau Association has launched an innovative Ag Education program on its new website.

This initiative is tailored for K-12 teachers, its designed to make learning about agriculture engaging and interactive. On the county website, educators will find a treasure trove of downloadable resources that cater to various grade levels, ensuring that students of all ages can benefit from hands-on learning experiences.

This spring, there are different opportunities to enrich classrooms with immersive activities centered around aquaculture, wheat, and beef. These topics not only highlight the importance of agriculture in our daily lives but also foster critical thinking and environmental stewardship among students.

Additionally, the program offers the unique chance to schedule in-class presentations by knowledgeable speakers from the agricultural community. These experts bring real-world insights and experiences that can inspire students and deepen their understanding of the agricultural processes that support our society.

County grants for classroom projects and educator scholarships are also advertised on the county website.

The site also features current news, upcoming Kansas Farm Bureau state opportunities and information about the Ellis County Farm Bureau Agriculture Ambassador leadership program that is available for Juniors in High School.

You can visit and learn on the website regardless of Farm Bureau memberships status; it is available to be used by anyone in the county.

Educators are encouraged to visit the website to explore resources, book your presentations and watch as your classroom transforms into a hub of agricultural knowledge and excitement.
