LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas Baseball's historic 2026 season came to an end after a 13-2 loss to Oklahoma in the Lawrence Super Regional. Kansas finished the year by tying the school record with 45 wins and hosting the first ever Lawrence Regional and Lawrence Super Regional.

The Jayhawks were selected to a second consecutive NCAA Tournament for only the second time in program history. KU set school records in conference wins, road/neutral wins, home runs and pitching strikeouts this year.

"An incredible last few weeks of hosting a regional and then a super regional. I'm really proud of these guys. I could break down this game and the things that went wrong yesterday and today, but I just told them after the game that I'm incredibly proud of them. We've brought this program to a pretty special place and it's because of who they are as baseball players, but way more who they are as men. I couldn't be more proud of them and my only regret is that we don't get to play more baseball together because they're a special group."

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Oklahoma (38-22) got out to an early lead in the first with a run.
  • Kansas evened the game in the second inning on a two-out RBI single from Jordan Bach.• The Sooners quickly took back the lead in the bottom of the second. They struck for six runs to take a commanding 7-1 lead.• Another run came in for the Sooners in the third inning on a Dayton Tockey solo home run.• Weather moved into the area then and halted play in the bottom of the third. The game was suspended for the night and resumed on Monday.• OU scored four more runs in the sixth on a pair of two-run homers. That made it a 12-1 Oklahoma lead.• Tyson LeBlanc hit a solo homer in the eighth inning for his 25th blast of the season.• Oklahoma added one more solo homer in the bottom of the eighth by Trey Gambill.
