Pat was a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church of Lindsborg, a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, Topeka Mustang Club, and the National Rifle Association.

Pat was well known for his big personality, his quick wit, booming voice, and a whistle that would make anyone stand at attention and bring the kids home from blocks away. He was a storyteller extraordinaire!  Pat loved old cars and rock & roll music.  He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed a good casino.  He was known for being able to fix anything, and for wheeling and dealing - he loved a bargain!  To his grandkids & great-grandkids Pat was known as "Grandpa Patty Poo," and always served them popsicles for breakfast.  He was a great cook and was famous for his pancakes. Pat loved life and dearly loved his family and friends.

Pat's survivors include his wife, Barbara; his children, Todd Turner, Larned; Theresa "Terry" (Jon) Palmer, Larned; Cory (Randi) Turner, Cherokee IA; Christopher (Shelly) Turner, Salina; Audrey (Mike) Farmer, Little River; his brothers, Robert (Sue) Turner, Wichita; Michael Turner, Fall River; and his Sister-in-law Joanie Turner, Lakeland FL.
