The <a href="https://haysfumc.com/">Hays First United Methodist Church of Hays</a>, 305 W. 7th St., is excited to announce they have awarded nine $1,000 scholarships to church youth.

The scholarship is intended to help cover educational expenses for the first semester or term at any accredited vocational–technical program, community college, or four-year college.

Criteria for the Hays United Methodist Church scholarship are that the students are preferably members, have participated in church programs while attending high school, and have demonstrated leadership skills in their community, school, church, and/or extracurricular activities.&nbsp; 

The 2025 scholarship recipients are:&nbsp; Nathan Chung, Camdyn Copper, Ian Henderson, Maycie Holdeman, Isabelle Jones, Emmaline Leuschner, Evelynn Reichel, Haley Roth, and Reaghan Wamser.
