Rain on-and-off Sunday in Hays yielded 0.62 inch of precipitation as officially measured at the K-State Agricultural Research Center south of town.
The high temperature was unseasonably cool at 76 degrees. One year ago on June 30, it was 89 degrees in Hays.
The Ag Research Center is now reporting 5.37 inches of rain for the month and 11.02 inches of rain year to date. That's just shy of Hays' average precipitation by the end of June of 11.31 inches.
Today's forecast is calling for a high of nearly 100 degrees with cooler temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday.
