The Hays USD 489 school board will discuss the purchase of iPads for students and staff for kindergarten through fifth grade at its meeting Monday night.

The board will consider the purchase of 1,630 iPads  with cases for $604,695.

The board will also hear a request for a contract with Midwest Energy for&nbsp;$214,120 to provide permanent power and electric meters to the new Hays High School site.

The board will consider accepting a bid from Sunflower Restaurant Supply for $26,750 for an outside walk-in freezer at Hays Middle School.

Superintendent Ron Wilson also will give an update on bond projects.
