Posted Feb 01, 2022 10:02 PM

Fort Hays State Men's Basketball returned to the receiving votes list of the NABC Division II Top 25 Poll this week, released on Tuesday (Feb. 1). The Tigers received 14 voting points in the poll this week, just nine shy of cracking the Top 25.

Fort Hays State is the second-highest listed team outside the Top 25, only behind Union which received 15 votes this week. Mercyhurst, ranked No. 25, received 23 voting points.

The Central Region is stacked right now with five teams inside the Top 25 Poll. Northwest Missouri State is the highest ranked of that bundle at No. 4, followed by Minnesota Duluth at No. 7, Augustana at No. 11, Central Oklahoma at No. 16, and Upper Iowa at No. 19. Fort Hays State and Southeastern Oklahoma State are both among the teams receiving votes.

The Tigers have been in the Top 25 of the D2SIDA Poll a couple of times this season, with No. 22 being their highest mark in that poll so far. But, they have not jumped into the Top 25 yet in the NABC Poll this season.
