Victoria standouts Wes Dreiling, Matt Pfeifer, Cody Schmidtberger, and Kyler Huser have been selected to participate in the 41st Annual Kansas 8-Man All-Star Games scheduled for June 12-13, 2026, in Beloit, Kansas.

Dreiling is the son of Brett & Heidi Dreiling. Pfeifer is the son of Jay & Jana Pfeifer. Schmidtberger is the son of Wade & Jody Schmidtberger. Huser is the son of Kevin & Kathy Huser.

Matt Barnett from Central Christian was selected to coach the Division II Green (West) squad and will join some of the top graduating senior 8-man football players from across the state of Kansas.

The Kansas 8-Man All-Star Games celebrate the tradition and excellence of 8-man football throughout Kansas while honoring athletes and coaches for their dedication, leadership, and accomplishments on the field.

Weekend festivities begin Friday at 4 p.m. with a community pep rally at Chautauqua Park in Beloit. Players will then gather for the annual banquet from 6-8 p.m., before concluding the evening with “Friday Night Lights” at 8 p.m. at Fort Hays Tech North Central gymnasium, featuring highlights and special moments from the week’s events.

The all-star games will be played Saturday:

● 10:00 a.m. — Division I Blue (East) vs. Red (West)
● 1:30 p.m. — Division II Gold (East) vs. Green (West)

The 2026 event marks the 41st Annual Kansas 8-Man All-Star Games. Although the Kansas Eight-Man Football Association was formed in 1986 by a group of north central Kansas coaches dedicated to promoting and preserving 8-man football across the state, the annual all-star games were not held in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, marking this as the 41st year. Over the years, the event has grown into one of the premier traditions in Kansas high school athletics.
