Theresa A. Basgall, 92, La Crosse, Kansas, passed away Monday, February 1, 2021, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.

Theresa was born January 1, 1929, in Schoenchen, Kansas, the daughter of Alex and Pauline (Graf) Munsch.  She was a lifelong resident of Ellis County, Kansas, and Rush County, Kansas.  She was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, La Crosse, Kansas.

On May 13, 1947, she married John W. Basgall, Jr..  He preceded her in death July 5, 2003.

Survivors include:  one son, Terrence “Terry” Basgall, La Crosse, Kansas; one daughter in law, Pam Basgall, Hobbs, New Mexico; four grandchildren, Connie Basgall, Hobbs, New Mexico, Becky Rolan (John), Hobbs, New Mexico, Adam Basgall, Lubbock, Texas, and Nicholas Basgall, Charlotte, North Carolina; six great grandchildren; and 14 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Gary Basgall; nine siblings, Lorraine Herrman, Martina Legleiter, Agnes McMichael, George Munsch, Eleanor Basgall, Agedius “Whitey” Munsch, Edmund Munsch, Estella Brening, and Hilda Marie Munsch; and  eight step siblings, Albina Beer, Albinus Munsch, Felicita Weichen, Severin Munsch, Jerome Munsch, Ted Wolf, Coletta Pfannenstiel, and Teckla Gabel.

Visitation will be Friday, February 5, 2021, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, La Crosse, Kansas.

Church visitation will be Saturday, February 6, 2021, from 9:00 A.M. to 9:50 A.M. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, La Crosse, Kansas.

Funeral service will be Saturday, February 6, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Michaels Catholic Church, La Crosse, Kansas, with Father Stephen Dabanka officiating.  Interment will be in the La Crosse City Cemetery, La Crosse, Kansas.

Social distancing is recommended. Masks are also recommended. Due to Covid 19, if you have a fever, cough, or are not feeling well, please send condolences via the on line guestbook, or mail.

In lieu of flowers or plants, the family requests memorials to St. Michael’s Catholic Church, La Crosse, Kansas.
