⛳ Tigers in eighth after day one of MIAA Championships

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - The Fort Hays State men's golf team sits in eight place after the first day of the MIAA Championships at the WinterStone Golf Course in Independence, Mo.

Due to inclement weather predicted in the forecast, both first and second rounds of the championship were played on Monday, April 18, with the third and final round moved up to Tuesday, April 19. Opening day was sunny but chilly with northwest winds up to 15-20 mph.

The Tigers shot a 312 on their first round and 303 on their second for a total of 615.

Parker Krob had rounds of 79 and 74 and is tied for 23rd at 9-over par. Bryce Cowan is tied for 30th at 11-over after rounds of 80 and 75.

Former Hays High standout Tradgon McCrae is tied for fourth at 1-over-par following rounds of 74 and 71.

Rogers State currently leads the team standings at +4, 580.
