🎾Hays finishes tied for 2nd at WAC

GREAT BEND – The Hays High girls’ tennis team earned a second-place finish at the Western Athletic Conference tournament Monday in Great Bend.

The Indians finished with nine team points and tied with the host Panthers.

Garden City finished first, or tied for first, in all four events and earned the top overall team finish.

Hays High’s No. 1 doubles team of Kaelin Maier and Alyse Zimmerman finished 3-1 and tied for 1st.

The No. 2 doubles team of Delia Dixon and Emersyn Sander finished second with a 3-1 record.

Isabelle Jones finished in a three-way tie for second with a 2-2 record, and Maycie Holdeman finished 1-3 and tied for third in the No. 1 singles.

The Indians travel to Salina Central on Saturday for their 5A regional.
