The Hays Haunted Hotel is back again this year with new spooks and frights.

Once a safe place, the building at 1108 Main St. has now been invaded by Zombies.

The Haunted Hotel launches this Saturday from 7 to 11 p.m. Admission is $10 per person. All ages are welcome.

The Hotel will be open also 7 to 11 p.m. Oct. 15-16, Oct. 22-23 and Oct. 29-30.

Visitors to the Haunted Hotel will encounter both actors and animatronics. There will be some fan favorites back this year, with new attractions sprinkled in, Meagan Pray, organizer, said.

A portion of the Hays Haunted Hotel proceeds will go to the Catholic Youth Organization from the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Hays.

The members of the Catholic Youth Organization from the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Hays will be volunteering at the Haunted Hotel. A portion of the proceeds will go to that group.

"People not only like to come out to be scared," Stephen Brummer, organizer, said, "they like to help too."

Ashley Green and Elise Williams are also helping with the project.

The Haunted Hotel will have strobe lights, fog machines, darkness and loud noises for those who may be sensitive. The maze also leads into the basement, which will involve stairs.

You will need to allow at least 15 to 20 minutes to complete the tour.
