The Catholic Diocese of Salina announced in a news release Tuesday that Patricia "Patti" Park has been named principal of St. Mary’s Grade School in Ellis.
Park, currently a fourth-grade teacher at Roosevelt Elementary School in Hays, has over 30 years of classroom experience as well as various leadership roles during that time.
She has been very involved with her parish over the years and is excited to become even more involved with the Diocese through this position, the news release said.
“This change to a private school of my Catholic faith will be an amazing opportunity to serve God through the education system,” Park said.
Park and her husband have four children and are parishioners of Immaculate Heart of Mary in Hays.
“Patti is going to be a great addition to St. Mary’s and I am looking forward to working with her as she leads the school," Superintendent Geoff Andrews said. "Her experience in the classroom at multiple grade levels is going to be a great asset to our teachers and students.”
