HESSTON - TMP-Marian senior Jackson Schulte and sophomore Landon Rozean both advanced to Tuesday’s second round of the 3A State Golf Tournament at the Hesston Municipal Golf Course. Schulte shot a 13-over-par 84 and is tied for 18th. Rozean is tie for 31st after a 16-over, 87.

Phillipsburg’s Ty Sides is tied for 15th at 11-over and also advanced to
Tuesday’s second round as did Russell senior Cole Birky who shot a 17-over, 88.
Cheney leads the team standings with a 329, two shots ahead of Sante Fe Trail. Colby just missed the cut with a 361 and finished seventh. The Monarchs finished ninth with a 370.
The top six teams from day one along with the top 18 individuals not on one of those teams advance to the second round.
