Effective March 10, 2025, HaysMed began managing in-house laboratory services and testing previously handled by Quest Lab Diagnostics.
Outpatient lab services will continue to be available at the HaysMed Outpatient Lab Draw Station located at HaysMed Family Medicine, 2509 Canterbury Drive, ensuring no changes to the location or services patients are accustomed to.
As part of this transition, billing statements for most clinical lab work will come directly from HaysMed. Patients are encouraged to take advantage of our new online bill payment options, specifically designed to make the billing experience simpler and more convenient.
"This transition is designed to ensure continuity in patient services while bringing billing and operations in-house," said Eddie Herrman, CEO of HaysMed. "Our lab team will continue providing the same essential diagnostic services, whether for routine blood work, pre-surgical evaluations for procedures such as a knee replacement, or urgent assessments and testing during emergency trauma care."
The goal of transitioning laboratory services internally is to enhance continuity of care and improve efficiencies within the hospital. The transition process is already underway, with the current lab team actively involved to ensure a smooth changeover.
The laboratory serves more than 100 patients daily, playing a critical role in supporting HaysMed’s healthcare services.
