Hays First United Methodist Church
'Tis the season for giving and Hays First United Methodist Church is living that mission.
The congregation has been addressing food insecurities within our community by making donations to the food pantry at First Call for Help and the Community Assistance Center along with a donation to the Community Thanksgiving meal.
The church has also made a recent donation for supplies to the Feed Hays program along with an ongoing commitment to send two volunteers from our congregation to help with preparation and dispersing of the weekly meal.
We also have two dedicated members that have taken on the task of preparing spaghetti noodles for the meal each week.
Hays First United Methodist Church gathers food on a continuous basis to help keep the Hays High food pantry stocked as well.
Many other projects are underway for the upcoming year to assist our fellow community members in need as we carry out our mission to serve God and our community through various programs and groups, focusing on spiritual growth, caring ministries and nurturing leadership.
