Dillie A. Snodgrass, 82, La Crosse, Kansas, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020, at Rush County Memorial Hospital, La Crosse, Kansas.
Dillie was born January 27, 1938, in Ness City, Kansas, the daughter of Orville and Florence Elsie “Toots” (Delaney) Turley. She was a lifelong resident of Ness County, Pawnee County, and Rush County, Kansas. A 1956 graduate of Ness City High School, Ness City, Kansas, she was a homemaker and farm wife.
She attended the First Christian Church, La Crosse, Kansas. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Burdett, Kansas, and Order of the Eastern Star, Rush Center, Kansas, holding many offices in both organizations. She later became a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Hoisington, Kansas, after the Rush Center organization disbanded.
On February 8, 1959, she married E. Wayne “Bud” Snodgrass at Ness City, Kansas. He preceded her in death April 21, 2005.
Survivors include: her daughter, Helen Thorne, and her husband, Harry, Nekoma, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Orville Snodgrass; two brothers, Bruce Turley, and Oscar Turley; one sister, Mary Covalt Shade, and a special friend, Jerry Reinert.
Graveside memorial service will be Saturday, December 12, 2020, at 11:00 A.M. at the La Crosse City Cemetery, La Crosse, Kansas, with Pastor Mark Sizemore officiating. Inurnment will be in the La Crosse City Cemetery, La Crosse, Kansas.
