Hays received a bit of rain this weekend.
The K-State Agricultural Research Center south of Hays measured 1.08 inches of rain in the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Saturday.
That brought its September total to 2.78 inches, above the 159-year average of 2.24 inches for the full month.
The center has recorded 20.22 inches of moisture this year, compared with an average of 19.84 inches through the end of September.
The temperature was 67 degrees at the time of Saturday’s reading, with 93% humidity.
Temperatures are expected to drop into the 70’s and even the 60’s later in the week according to the three day weather forecast.
