This week's Kansas drought monitor&nbsp;shows conditions persisting and expanding farther east, with most of northwest Kansas in extreme or severe drought.

Nearly all of Ellis County (3 down, 5 right from upper left county on map) is in a moderate drought. The southern tier is rated abnormally dry by the U.S. Drought Monitor.

The National Weather Service in Dodge City has included <a href="https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=38.87743000000006&amp;lon=-99.32681999999994#.YErF_Z1KiM8">Ellis County in a Flood Watch</a> from 6 a.m. Friday through Monday with a forecast of&nbsp; 1 to 4 inches of rain and/or snow through Monday.&nbsp;
