COVID-19 cases in northwest Kansas are up 65 percent compared to mid-April, according to data compiled by the Kansas Hospital Association and published Wednesday.
It is by far the largest increase in the association's six regions, with south-central Kansas' 43 percent increase the next highest spike.
The KHA also reported that northwest Kansas has a 42 percent vaccination rate, even with southeast Kansas for the lowest rate in the state.
