During the pandemic, kids are being especially hit hard with the cancelation of many events and moving to online learning for school
Old Chicago Hays celebrated Cinco de Mayo in October this year, with the goal of donating the proceeds from the sale of their Cinco de Mayo t-shirts to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ellis County.
The proceeds totaled $725, and Jennie Bates, Big Brother Big Sisters Northwest Kansas executive director, said the donation would help impact their programs and the kids they support, especially during this time.
Old Chicago Hays is always looking for ways to give back to the community that supports them. Big Brothers Big Sisters received their donation on Friday, Nov. 6, and the live video can be viewed on Facebook here.
