The ninth-ranked Fort Hays State women's basketball team wraps up a quick trip to the Sooner State Saturday (Feb. 13) with a matchup against Northeastern State. First tip is slated for 1:30 p.m. inside the NSU Event Center in Tahlequah, Okla.

Fan attendance is permitted in a reduced capacity, with fans strongly encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. Remaining tickets, if available, will be available at the door. All seats are general admission.

With just five games remaining in the regular season, Fort Hays State (15-2, 15-2 MIAA) is in a three-way tie for first place in the MIAA with Central Oklahoma and Nebraska-Kearney. The RiverHawks (5-13, 5-13 MIAA) sit in 11th, two games out of eighth place, the final spot that will qualify for the 2021 MIAA Championship Tournament, presented by Citizens Bank & Trust.

FHSU took care of business at home against the RiverHawks earlier this season, scoring the first 11 points before winning by 20, 80-60 (12/18/20). The Tigers hit 53.3 percent from the floor (32-of-60) while limiting NSU to a 36.8 percent effort (21-of-57). Jaden Hobbs scored 20 points, Whitney Randall had 18 points and Cydney Bergmann added a career-high 15 points.

Fort Hays State is 16-3 all-time against Northeastern State, including wins in each of the last 15 games, FHSU's longest active winning streak against a conference opponent. The Tigers are a 6-2 on the road against the RiverHawks, including wins in each of the last six trips to Tahlequah. The Tigers are 16-2 overall and 6-2 on the road against NSU under head coach Tony Hobson.

After Thursday's victory at Rogers State, the Tigers are now 15-5 when playing in the State of Oklahoma under Hobson, including wins in their last six games on the red dirt.

Randall leads the team and ranks eighth in the MIAA in scoring, averaging 16.0 points per game. The senior has scored in double figures in all but one contest this season.

Olivia Hollenbeck joined the double-double club Thursday, totaling 11 points and a career-high 10 rebounds. Katie Wagner (2), Hobbs (2), and Randall have also recorded double-doubles for the Tigers this year.

Northeastern State enters the weekend 5-13 on the year, including a 4-5 mark at home. The RiverHawks kept things close in the first half against UNK before falling by 19 Thursday, 76-57. NSU ranks ninth in the MIAA in scoring, averaging 63.1 points per game, while ranking 12 in scoring defense at 70.3 ppg. They average 33.6 rebounds per game, second fewest in the league. Zaria Collins leads the team in scoring, averaging 16.5 points per game. Cenia Hayes is close behind with 15.7 points per night. Collins has hit 108 field goals this season, ninth-most in Division II. Collins also grabs a team-best 7.0 rebounds per contest.
