Michael H. “Mike” Mullen was born on November 7, 1947, in Phillipsburg, Kansas, the youngest of seven children born to Joseph James and Goldie Pauline (Hurlbert) Mullen. He passed away on Sunday, February 13th, 2022, at his home in Topeka, KS at the age of 74.
Mike was raised in Glade, KS and later moved to Topeka.
Mike was a Licensed Medical Health Technician and worked a number of years in Norton, KS and Topeka, KS. He later worked at Engrophs Popcorn Factory in Topeka.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Goldie Mullen; five siblings Lloyd, Janice Helwick, Charles, Johnny, and Sharon; and his grandparents.
Survivors include his two daughters Jan Upshaw of Hutchinson, KS and Marcia Laird of Salina, KS; sister Patty Moore of Speed, KS; numerous Nieces and Nephews that he cherished dearly; as well as his friends in Topeka.
Cremation was planned. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
