Smoky Hill Museum
The history of Salina's Dunbar School will be the focus of the upcoming Smoky Hill Museum First Thursday presentation.
The museum will host Dunbar School: A Legacy of Learning at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. The presentation will be offered both in person at the museum, 211 W. Iron Avenue, and through Zoom. To watch via Zoom, register at www.smokyhillmuseum.org.
Join Jennifer Gordon as she shares the history of Dunbar School. Walk, metaphorically, through the halls with Gordon to meet some of the teachers and students and learn why Salina’s Dunbar School was, and is, an important part of Salina’s story. She’ll also share about the activities surrounding the school’s 100th anniversary. Gordon is vice president of the Dunbar School Alumni Association.
