David B. Urban, 54, passed away Oct. 8, 2021, at his home in Great Bend. He was born on Oct. 25, 1966, at LaCrosse, to Bendedict and Frances (Schaffer) Urban. He married Debbie Allen on Oct. 6, 2001, at Great Bend.
A lifetime Great Bend resident, David was a rig operator for JD's Well Service. He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish. David enjoyed cooking, watching racing, camping and was a die hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include, his wife, Debbie Urban of the home; two daughters, Jerica Urban of the home, and Jenna Pitchford and fiancé Sasha of Great Bend; two sons, Josh Pitchford and wife Sheila of Ellinwood, and Jeremy Pitchford and wife Jalissa of Loma, Colo.; a brother, Darrel Urban and wife Susan of Bison; two sisters, Darletha "Dar" Zimmerman and husband Duane of Springfield, Mo., and Diane Parker and husband Barry of Great Bend; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; twin sons, Derreck and Devin Urban, and another son, Dexter Urban.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021 at Bryant Funeral Home, with family to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Father Prakash Kola presiding. Interment will be in the Great Bend Cemetery. Memorials have been designated to the David Urban Funeral Expense Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
