Billie Jean Beck, 77, of Russell, Kansas, died on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas

Billie was born on November 25, 1944, in Russell, Kansas, the daughter of Marvin and Mary Ann (Evans) Zimmerman.  She grew up in Russell and attended Russell Public Schools.  She was married to Kenneth Mitchell in 1961, and from this union they were blessed with a daughter Tammy, but their marriage ended in divorce.  She was married to Bruce Cleavenger in 1966, and from this union they were blessed with a son Joel and daughter Janet, but their marriage also ended in divorce.  She was married to Bob Tyler in 1981 but their marriage also ended in divorce.  Billie found love a final time and was united in marriage to Rodger Beck in 2003, unfortunately he preceded her in death on March 01, 2017.  Billie worked as a dispatcher and court clerk for the Russell City Police Department for 21 years.  She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, crocheting pot holders, playing Mahjong and following Facebook.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her kids and grandkids.

Surviving family include her daughter Tammy Morris and husband Ray of Russell, Kansas; sons Joel Cleavenger of Salina, Kansas and Les Javens of Russell, Kansas; Brothers Dennis Zimmerman and wife Myrlene of Bella Vista, Arkansas; sister Deborah Zimmerman of Salina, Kansas and numerous grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Janet Daniels, husband Rodger Beck and step father Ronald Dean Headley.

Cremation has been selected by the family.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
