
Blustery northwest winds are expected to continue into Thursday night, with gusts near 35 mph expected. The overnight low will drop to the upper-teens — and bring a slight chance of moisture.
The National Weather Service in Dodge City said there is 20 percent chance of rain after 3 p.m. in the Hays area, followed by a 20 percent chance of snow between 9 and 10 p.m. Thursday.
By Friday afternoon, the northwest wind will shift to a southwest wind, bringing a warming trend that will see the high temperatures over the weekend and into next week hit the mid-50s. Skies are expected to be mostly clear through Super Bowl weekend.
The next chance of precipitation in the long-range forecast is a 20 percent chance of rain Monday night.
