MARION - The TMP boys golf team placed three in the top 10 as they finished second at the 2A Marion Sub-state. 

The Monarchs team put together a 350 team score and were seven shots back of first-place Ellinwood.

Chase Drennon finished second with an eight-over 80.

Ellinwood’s Luke Heinz won the individual title with a six-over 78.

TMP’s Mason Rozean tied for fourth with an 85 and Ashton Drennon tied for ninth (87). 

Plainville’s Easton Ditter tied for sixth (86) and Owen Brewer tied for 10th (88).

The 2A state golf tournament is May 26 and 27 at Quail Ridge Golf Court in Winfield.
