The Ellis County Health Department on Friday announced 12 new cases of COVID-19 in the county have been identified since Wednesday.

There are now 26 active cases, with no hospitalizations, and 153 recovered cases.

Since reporting began, there have been 180 cases of coronavirus in Ellis County, including one death.

The health department reports on new cases Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
