Kenneth Lee Augustine, 66, Ellis, died Friday, December 3, 2021, at the Hays Medical Center. He was born July 11, 1955, to William and Rose (Lang) Augustine. He graduated high school from Bennett High School, in Bennett, Colorado. He attended Kansas State University and received an accounting degree.
He worked for many companies in Manhattan, KS, St. Louis, MO, and Trenton, NJ. He moved back to Ellis in 2006. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellis and the Ellis Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by three sons; Scott (Diana) Augustine--Newport News, VA; Brett (fiancée Amber) Augustine--Ocala, FL, and Craig (Amanda) Augustine--Inverness, FL; one daughter Ashely Augustine--Floral City, FL; a special friend, Carol Werth, Schoenchen, KS; two sisters; Cheryl (Augustine) Noles and husband Richard, Aurora, CO; Roberta Augustine, Ellis; three brothers; Ray (Shirleen) Augustine, Baldwin City, KS; Mike Augustine, Wellsville, KS; David (Amy) Augustine, Odessa, TX; three grandchildren, Logan, Leila, and Launa Augustine; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.
Services will be Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 10 a.m. at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellis, Kansas; inurnment will be at the Catholic Church Cemetery on Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
Visitation will be Friday, from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellis.
A parish vigil and rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Friday, at the church.
Contributions are suggested to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or St. Mary’s School.
