Randy L. Irwin, 68, of Hays, died Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
He was born April 25, 1956 in Russell, the son of Riley and Doris (Williamson) Irwin. In 1975, Randy graduated from Gorham High School, and on September 24, 1976 he was united in marriage to Marlene A. Bieker in Hays, celebrating 48 years of marriage. He worked as a sales manager at Schwan’s, owned and operated Irwin Painting, was a permit agent at Lockhart Geophysical, a salesman at Sysco Foods, and crew supervisor at Roofmasters Roofing. He was a member of Hays Family Worship Center, loved his family, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed collecting guns and playing poker.
Survivors include his wife Marlene of Hays, three sons, Andrew Irwin and wife Lori of Richmond, KY, Matthew Irwin and wife Natalie of Centennial, CO, and Lee Irwin and wife Emily of Raymore, MO, three brothers, Craig Irwin and wife Melissa of Hays, Troy Irwin of Salina, and Darren Irwin and wife Pam of Bennington, ten grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Danny Irwin.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 am on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Sutton officiating.
