LA SALLE, Colo. – The Hays Larks scored four runs in the top of the fourth inning to take a 7-3 lead over the Colorado Sox Saturday, but the Sox rallied with a run in the bottom of the fourth then five in the fifth for a 9-7 win.
Dylan Dreiling led the Larks 10-hit attack going 3-for-5 with three RBIs. Wyatt Divis had two hits including a home runs and drove in three.
Cole Zimmerman allowed five runs on one hit with four walks and two strikeouts over 2/3 innings of relief and suffered the loss.
Starter Paddy Walsh went four innings and allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits with four strikeouts and four walks.
After a 6-1 start, the Larks (6-4) have lost three straight.
The Larks take on the Colorado Pirates Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
