Andrew Alan "Andy" Keller, age 55, of Hays, Kansas passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026 in Hays.
Andy was born October 7, 1970 in Dodge City, Kansas to Glen and Patricia (Geist) Keller. He graduated from Spearville High School in 1989 and then Dodge City Community College. Andy worked at the EnerSys battery manufacturing plant for thirty-one years, starting in 1995 when the factory was Yuasa/Exide. He was skilled in many production positions including forklift driver, assembly, oxide mill, charging, and finishing. He had an excellent safety and quality record. His last position was as a Finisher and in March 2024, he was part of a team that shipped $2M worth of batteries in the last two weeks of the year, which was a plant record. Andy was instrumental in implementing the C supermarket in the warehouse, helping achieve lean manufacturing belts and lighthouses as well as impacting customers to receive products efficiently and quickly. Andy is survived by his father, Glen M. Keller of Spearville, a brother, Bruce Keller and wife Edna of Leavenworth, Kansas and their children, Cole and Chance; and a sister, Jill Doman and husband James of Washington, PA and their children, Carson, Zachary and Ethan.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia.
Celebration of Life services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, July 18, 2026 with visitation starting at 10:30 AM until service time all at Keithley Funeral Homes and Crematory-Brock's Chapel 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601.
