The week could bring much-needed moisture to western Kansas, the National Weather Service in Dodge City is predicting.
Beginning late Monday afternoon, there is a 60 percent chance of rain, tapering as the evening progresses. Rain is expected to return Thursday, with an 80 percent chance of rain and possible thunderstorms by Tuesday night and through the morning Wednesday.
After a mostly sunny Thursday, there is a 40 percent chance of precipitation in the early morning hours of Friday and through the day. By Friday night, skies are expected to clear, with a sunny and warmer weekend ahead, the NWS said.
