The Hays USD 489 Board of Education is set to discuss several significant purchases during Monday night's meeting.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Toepfer Board Room in the Rockwell Administration Center, 323 W. 12th.

Among the topics on Monday's agenda are three large purchases under consideration by the board, including a $2.16 million lease-purchase agreement for HVAC equipment for Roosevelt Elementary.

The board is also set to consider a $265,000 bid from National Bus Sales for a new activity bus, as part of the district's ongoing vehicle replacement program, as well as the purchase of a compact tractor for buildings and ground maintenance projects for $44,500.
