TOPEKA – The Victoria volleyball team will be the four-seed at the 1A Division II State Volleyball Tournament which begins Friday at Emporia’s White Auditorium. The Knights (34-6) will face Hanover (32-7), Axtell (27-13) and top-seeded Marais Des Cygnes Valley (39-2) in their pool play matches.

The top two teams out of each pool advance to Saturday’s semifinals beginning at 9:00 a.m. Consolation and championship matches will begin 25 minutes after the last semifinal match has concluded.
The Knights advance to the state tournament by winning their own Sub-State Tournament with three-set victories over Wallace County and Wheatland-Grinnell.
Quinter is the seven-seed in the 1A Division I tournament at United Wireless Arena in Dodge City. The Bulldogs (28-10) will face South Gray (36-4), Spearville (35-6) and Greeley County (28-10) in pool play beginning Thursday.
