The Kansas Department of Transportation plans to start a resurfacing project on a portion of U.S. 24 in Graham and Rooks counties the week of July 27.
Work will consist of a chip seal on 23 miles of the highway starting at the K-18 junction and ending near the west Stockton city limits. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers and a pilot car during daylight hours, and motorists should anticipate minor delays not to exceed 15 minutes.
KDOT expects work to be completed by the first week of August, weather permitting.
Circle C Paving and Construction of Goddard is the primary contractor for the $862,000 project. For more information, contact KDOT area construction engineer Jim Riener at 785-543-2163 or [email protected].
