Rooks Co. woman hospitalized after car strikes sign

PHILLIPS COUNTY—A Kansas woman was injured in an accident just after 9:30a.m. Thursday in Phillips County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1998 Ford Taurus driven by Emily M. Vohs, 22, Plainville, was eastbound on K-9 Highway two miles west of Logan.

The car entered the south ditch and struck a milepost sign. The driver overcorrected and the car entered the north ditch, traveled over a culvert and came to rest on K-9 Highway. The driver then moved the car to a field drive.

EMS transported Vohs to the hospital in Phillipsburg. She was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
