
The National Weather Service is warning of the threat of severe weather returning to northwest Kansas Thursday night into early Friday morning.
There is a 30 percent chance of showers or thunderstorms after 5 p.m. Thursday, increasing to 50 percent after 8 p.m.
The primary threat with the front is damaging wind gusts, projected east of a line from WaKeeney to Coldwater, the NWS reported.
Skies will clear Friday and the mercury will rise through the weekend, with projected highs of 93 Saturday, 95 Sunday and 101 Monday.
