The weather is warmer as the summer season nears, allowing more outdoor work and projects by Hays city crews.
Several curb and gutter repairs were performed last month and workers also improved the drainage of Chetolah Creek at 22nd and General Custer in time for the spring rains.
As part of a partnership agreement with NCK Tech in Hays, students installed lighting in the north Frontier Park shelter house.
Work continues on the Vineyard Park pond enlargement project east of Home Depot.
