Another small amount of rain fell in Hays Tuesday night.
The official measurement from the K-State Agricultural Research Center south of town was 0.26 inches. The Eagle Media Center, 2300 Hall, had 0.35 inches in the rain gauge.
So far this month, 2.29 inches of rain has fallen in Hays. The 159-year accumulative average for the entire month of June is 3.38 inches.
Despite the regular late spring rains, Hays is still behind average for the year at 8.40 inches of precipitation. The accumulative amount by the end of June is 11.31 inches.
After reaching 97 degrees on Tuesday, the three-day forecast calls for slightly cooler daytime highs with rain this weekend.
