Clint Steinert

Clint Steinert, 52, died February 2, 2022, at McPherson Hospital.  He was born July 23, 1969, in Lawrence, Kansas, the son of Carl Dean and Clydell (Rafferty) Steinert.  Clint was a 1987 graduate of Quivera Heights High School, Bushton, Kansas. He then went on to receive his Associate Degree from Hutchinson Community College in 1989.

On January 19, 1991, he married Tina Marie Ploutz in Ellsworth, Kansas. She survives.

A resident of Lyons since July, Clint and Tina were formerly of Olmitz, Kansas, where they had made their home for the past 20 years.  Clint currently enjoyed working as a truck driver for Ellinwood Feeders.

Clint was a member of St. Pauls Catholic Church of Lyons, and formerly of St. Ann Catholic Church of Olmitz.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 2100, in Olmitz, and formerly of the Volunteer Fire Department where he had served as the assistant chief.  He also enjoyed serving on the board for the Great Bend Bat Cats.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Tina Steinert of the home; two daughters, Cortney Schwarz (Jeff) of Oakley, and Cayla Steinert of Garden City; a grandson, Conner Dean Schwarz; parents, Carl and Clydell Steinert of Bushton; three brothers, Craig Steinert (Tom Mulloy) of Kansas City, Missouri, Curtis Steinert (Kim) of Lehigh, and Cory Steinert (Traci) of Midlothian, Texas; five nieces and nephews, Casen Steinert, Cheyenne Steinert, Hadley Steinert, Hudson Steinert, and Daxson Rippen; and family of the heart, Chase Gibson of St. Louis, Missouri, Knute Steinert of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, and Ron Batchman of Hoisington.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, with family to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., and Knights of Columbus Rosary to begin at 7 p.m., all at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington, Kansas.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m, Saturday, February 12, 2022, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Olmitz, celebrated by Father Michael Brungardt. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Galatia, Kansas.
