The TMP-Marian girls had three players named to the 2022 All Mid-Continent League team Thursday.
The Monarchs senior Emilee Lane and junior Jaci VonLintel were joined on the first-team by Phillipsburg junior Taryn Sides and seniors Tallon Rentschler from Smith Center and Oakley’s Liberty Booker.
Lane led the Monarchs in both scoring (14.0 points per game) and rebounds (7.3 rpg).
VonLintel finished third on the team in scoring (13.1ppg) and rebounding (6.8rpg). She also led the Monarchs forcing more than 2.5 steals and 1.3 blocks per game.
The Monarchs second-leading scorer, senior Sophia Balthazor (13.4ppg) was named to the second-team.
She was joined on the second-team by Stockton senior Olivia Dix, Ellis junior Emily Eck and Hoxie sophomore’s Josey Kennedy and Kinley Rogers.
Seniors Madison Walt of Trego, Ashlyn Long from Smith Center and Phillipsburg’s Abby Babcock were named to the third-team. They were joined by sophomores Dakota Kattenberg from Smith Center and Norton’s Jenessa Ruder.
Russell seniors Rylan Reeves, Aniya Stierlen and Camille Dortland were all named to the honorable mention team. They were joined by juniors Maile Hrabe from Smith Center and Jaelle Johnson from Oakley.
TMP, Phillipsburg and Smith Center shared the regular season MCL title. It was the second straight season that TMP and Phillipsburg shared the title.
The Monarchs won the MCL tournament title for the first time since 2018 and their fifth time since joining the MCL.
